The Cheltenham Festival is home to 28 races across four days, with prize money of over £4.5million. We welcome over 265,000 racegoers to watch the finest participants in our sport compete for the highest honours.

DAY ONE

We kick start The Cheltenham Festival with seven races on Day One. The feature race is the iconic Unibet Champion Hurdle at 3:30pm, with prize money of over £450,000. The 2019 renewal saw Gavin Cromwell train his first winner at The Festival with Espoir D'Allen. 

DAY two

Day Two of The Festival has another seven races to enjoy. The feature race of the day is The Betway Queen Mother Champion Chase, a race in which we saw Altior produce a record-breaking performance of 19 consecutive Jump races, including regaining the Queen Mother Champion Chase title at The Festival.  

DAY three

Day Three of The Cheltenham Festival is home to celebrating St Patrick's Day and every year the atmosphere is second to none with a quality seven racecard on offer, with two feature races. The first of the two is The Ryanair Chase, won by Bryony Frost in 2019, the first female rider to win one of the five Championship races, onboard Frodon. The Stayers' Hurdle Race follows shortly afterwards, won in 2019 by Paisley Park, trained by Emma Lavelle. 

DAY four

Gold Cup Day, Day Four of The Cheltenham Festival concludes four incredible days of racing. The Magners Cheltenham Gold Cup has created legends in the racing world and 2019 was no different. The greatest chasers in Britain and Ireland line up at 3:30pm every year to be presented the original 1924 Gold Cup. In 2019, Willie Mullins won his first-ever Magners Cheltenham Gold Cup with Al Boum Photo.
